Profile
Angel 'Egle' Wierenga
From childhood I have had a passion for light, color, fantasy and symbolic expression. My earlier works are inks and pastels. Now I use acrylics on canvas. I love the way that acrylic paints blend, creating vivid and radiant images.
My inspiration comes from various sources, but mostly from visions and inner feelings, as well as my love of Nature. I have never been short of inspiration. Sometimes, I feel it is a race against time to produce all of the images that I have in my mind. Generally, the visions that are the most difficult to describe in words turn into the most expressive paintings. Each one contains my messages of Love and Peace.
My work is meant to captivate my audience's mind and inspire thier imagination --- transforming them to a place where the visible and invisible meet, the natural and supernatural connect...
My vision is for the world to be in Peace and Harmony.
My biggest joy is when I can touch someones heart through my art.
